Diastolic Ca²⁺ detection points are shown for control. Extracellular CaCl₂ was half-normal (1.2 mM) to allow for a full range of responses to the drugs. This accounts for the lower control values of systolic LVP and [Ca²⁺]. Phasic LVP was lower after ischemia in all groups but phasic [Ca²⁺] was higher only in the control group (see table 1).
