The top graph shows the linear relationship between normalized mechanomyographic (MMG) amplitude and percent eccentric isokinetic peak torque (PT) for the vastus medialis muscle of one subject. The bottom graph demonstrates that for this particular subject (the same subject as in the top graph), there was no relationship between normalized MMG mean power frequency (MPF) for the vastus medialis muscle and percent eccentric isokinetic PT. The data presented are from one subject, and the MMG signals were recorded with a piezoelectric contact sensor during eccentric isokinetic muscle actions of the leg extensors at a velocity of 30°·s^-1.
