Cardiac elastance error metric. An example of the calculation of the error metric. At each point on the true waveform, the nearest point on the estimated waveform is located, and the distance between these two points is calculated (draw as solid lines). This is an approximation of the normal distance between the two waveforms. From this series of errors values along a waveform, median and 90th percentile errors are calculated.
