Estimated extracellular conductivity tensor, \({\mathbf{C}}_{ec}\), and intra-neurite conductivity tensor, \({\mathbf{C}}_{ne}\), images represented by tri-axial ellipsoids, respectively. The radii of each ellipsoid are proportional to the eigenvalues and their axes are oriented along the directions of eigenvectors. For comparison, an isotropic tensor image with conductivity of 0.5 S/m is located in the center left. The colors of ellipsoids indicate the orientation of principle eigenvector
