Results of the three-point-bending test. No significant differences between the different storage groups were found. Heat-treated pins showed a clearly lower initial stability (*statistically significant differences) but mechanical stability had adjusted to that of the untreated material after 56 days in vitro in simulated body fluid as well as after 48 weeks in vivo corrosion
