All storage durations were evaluated after additional corrosion in SBF [“in vitro corrosion (II)”] and additional implantation in rabbit tibiae [“in vivo corrosion (III)”, *statistically significant differences]. Heat treated and not stored implants showed significant differences in volume after additional corrosion in SBF compared to every other storage group [“in vitro corrosion (II)”]
