A and B are two views of the computational model of the new RF-assisted device for rapid bloodless resection. The model had a symmetry plane, only half of the electrode and tissue was considered. The insulated part corresponds to the plastic holder. Inner cooling was not modeled realistically by internal tubes, but only by the outer metallic part, together with a thermal boundary condition of convective coefficient (hi). C and D are two views of the Finite Element Model built.
