Critical volume in dependence of hot spot power P hs for various critical temperatures. Using the analytical solution for thermal equilibrium of equation 3b a spherical critical volume can be calculated using a critical temperature. The images show examples for 4 different critical temperature increases up to 20 K. For a hot spot power of 200 mW a volume of about 20 mm3 reaches temperature increases of more than 20 K.
