  1. 45° and 60° refer to the abduction angle.
  2. Experimental maximum compressions were analyzed from the initial loading cycles for two cup-cement combinations (12 acetabular cups, 6 experimental tests) at the same time (Fig. 1).
  3. Penetration rates of the cups, i.e. plastic deformations, were calculated after 5 million loading cycles.
