The SEFs generated to develop the material models used to represent the atherosclerotic aortic tissue characterised by Loree et al. (1994) [2]. Also included are the SEFs generated to develop the material models used to represent the femoral tissue. In this figure the blue, red and green lines correspond to the lightly, moderately and heavily calcified femoral groups respectively. Similarly, the black, dark grey and light grey dashed lines correspond to the calcified, cellular and hypocellular aortic groups respectively.
