Effect of polystyrene culture dishes (PS), Primaria® (P), and PPE:N (N) surfaces on the level of type X collagen mRNA in hypertrophic growth plate chondrocytes. Bovine hypertrophic growth plate chondrocytes were cultured for up to 20 days on the different surfaces and mRNA levels were analyzed by RT-PCR. Agarose gels show representative examples of PCR products for type X collagen (COL 10) mRNA and 18S rRNA. All values were normalized to 18S rRNA.
